Get in the holiday spirit with this peppermint latte!
One of the holiday drinks at the parks this year is the Candy Cane Latte. This drink features Joffrey’s coffee with peppermint and milk. Don’t worry if you can’t go to the parks to get it, it’s really easy to make at home! You can even make it hot or iced, depending on your preferences.
Candy Cane Latte
Yields 1 serving
Ingredients:
Hot Latte
2 shots espresso (2 oz)
1 cup milk
1 oz peppermint syrup
Iced Latte
2 shots espresso (2 oz)
1 cup milk
1 oz peppermint syrup
Ice
Instructions:
Hot Latte
Add peppermint syrup to a mug.
Brew two shots of espresso.
In a small saucepan over low heat, steam milk, stirring frequently.
Once the milk reaches 150ºF, remove from heat and transfer to a glass measuring cup. Gently tap it on the counter to break up any large bubbles.
Froth the milk to create some foam.
Pour milk over espresso, using a spoon to hold back the foam.
Top the drink with the reserved foam and then sprinkle candy cane pieces on top.
Iced Latte
Fill a tall glass with ice. Add peppermint syrup.
Brew two shots of espresso and pour over ice.
Pour in milk and stir to combine.
Top with candy cane pieces and enjoy!
