Drink Recipe: Frozen Hot Chocolate Martinis
Updated: Jul 27, 2022
My favorite part of drinking around the world during Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays in 2019 was the Frozen Hot Chocolate Martini from the Holiday Kitchen in the French pavilion. This drink was the perfect holiday treat, and it’s been on my mind ever since. That’s why I was so excited when my friends found a recipe to make it at home!
This recipe for Frozen Hot Chocolate Martinis, created by Sandra Lee, is pretty close to what you can get in Disney. All you need is vanilla vodka, hot cocoa mix, milk, ice, and a blender. After making this recipe (twice!), here are some adaptations I would recommend to make it even more like the one at Disney!
I cut the recipe in half for it to fit in my blender and still ended up with enough for four servings. So, if you do the full recipe, you’ll probably end up with 8 servings
I added more vanilla vodka than the recipe called for. You could also add Bailey’s Irish Cream for an extra creamy version
Start by adding the ice to the blender first (to avoid splashing), then add the hot cocoa powder and liquids. I used crushed ice to make the blending process faster
Blend until there are no ice chunks in the drink and it is a smooth consistency. If it comes out too thin, add ice to thicken it up. The ideal consistency for this drink is a milkshake or Wendy’s frosty
Additional Tips
If you want to be ~fancy~, you can dip the rims of your glasses in hot cocoa powder before pouring the drink in and top it off with mini marshmallows.
Or if you’re going for authenticity, add a dollop of whipped cream and chocolate drizzle just like the Disney original!
And there you have it! This drink is perfect for any chocoholic, Disney-fanatic, oh and anyone over the age of 21!
Try it for yourself and let us know your thoughts!
