Recipe: Glow Blue Noodles

A tasty blue noodle dish that’s perfect for any Star Wars fan!

These Glow Blue Noodles are super easy to make but have a big impact! Perfect for any Star Wars fan or a themed Star Wars party! 

Glow Blue Noodles

Yields 3-4 servings

Ingredients:

• Water

• Salt

• 5 drops blue food coloring

• 8 ounces rice noodles 

• ½ cup heavy cream

• ½ cup unsalted butter

• 1 teaspoon minced garlic

• 1 ½ cups grated parmesan cheese

• Pepper

• Cherry tomatoes, halved (for garnish)

• Mozzarella balls (for garnish)

• Italian seasoning (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Fill a large saucepan half of the way full with water.

2. Bring to a boil and add 5 drops of blue food coloring and a pinch of salt. 

3. Add in rice noodles and boil for 5-6 minutes.

4. While the noodles are boiling, start the sauce in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add in heavy cream, butter, and minced garlic. 

5. Whisk together until the butter melts and the mixture starts steaming. 

6. Add in grated parmesan cheese and whisk until combined. 

7. Add salt and pepper to taste and remove the sauce from the heat.

8. Once the noodles have finished cooking, drain them and set aside. 

9. To a bowl, add a scoop of blue noodles and top with the cheese sauce. 

10. Garnish with halved cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls and top with a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

These are really good! The sauce is kind of like an alfredo sauce and is very cheesy. It would make a great dinner for a themed Star Wars party!
