Recipe: Grilled Street Corn on the Cob
A new take on the fan-favorite Disney street corn.
This garlic-covered corn on the cob just about competes with the Disney fan-favorite, Harambe Street Market Corn. In celebration of the Flower and Garden Festival, the Farmers Feast food booth has varying menus over the course of the festival. The Early Bloom menu, available February 28th - March 30th features a veal tenderloin with spring pea risotto, a strawberry rhubarb upside-down cake with crème fraîche whipped cream, and grilled street corn on the cob with savory garlic spread and plant-based cheese. Due to the high popularity of the street corn, this food item will be available throughout the entirety of the festival - May 27th. In case you can’t make it before then, add this street corn recipe to your spring and summer line up!
Grilled Street Corn on the Cob
Yields 4 ears of corn
Ingredients:
4 ears of corn
¼ cup olive oil
2 teaspoons minced garlic
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
Dash of chili powder
Plant-based cheese
Instructions:
Grill corn until charred all over, about 10 minutes.
While the corn is on the grill, in a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder.
Brush the garlic mix on the corn and char for an additional 2 minutes.
Sprinkle plant-based cheese on top and serve.
Takeaway:
This recipe is very similar to the highly sought-after street corn in Animal Kingdom. I don’t think you can go wrong with any type of street corn and this was definitely not the exception. It was an easy recipe to follow and will be making my summer recipe list.
