Drink Recipe: Huckleberry-Citrus Cooler
Try this new drink from the DCA Food & Wine Festival.
The Huckleberry-Citrus Cooler can be found at the D-Lish booth at the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. It features Gold Peak Black Tea, huckleberry and agave syrups, grapefruit soda, lemon and orange juices, and is garnished with an orange wedge. It is a very refreshing drink that strikes a balance between tart and sweet.
Huckleberry-Citrus Cooler
Yields 1 drink
Ingredients:
1 ounce huckleberry syrup
1 ounce agave nectar
1 ounce lemon juice
½ cup Gold Peak black tea
½ cup grapefruit soda
½ cup orange juice
Orange wedge, for garnish
Instructions:
Add huckleberry syrup, agave nectar, and lemon juice to a glass.
Pour black tea, grapefruit soda, and orange juice over top.
Stir together until the drink is well-mixed and add ice, if needed.
Garnish the glass with an orange wedge and enjoy!
Review:
This drink has a good balance between tart and sweet. I really enjoyed the combination of the citrus flavors with huckleberry. It reminds me of a mocktail and could definitely be used as a mixer as well. Adding a shot of vodka or tequila to this drink would make a great cocktail! This recipe can easily be scaled up and served in a pitcher for a party!
