Recipe: Key Lime Pie Martini
Get the at-home recipe for the creamy, zesty martini from Disney’s Flavors of Florida.
It seems like key lime was the theme of this year’s Flavor of Florida event in Disney Springs. So, if you can’t make it to Splitsville Dining Room to try the Key Lime Pie Martini, don’t worry! We found a way to recreate it at home with just a couple of easy ingredients.
Key Lime Pie Martini
Yields 1 serving
Ingredients:
Ice
1 ounce vodka
½ ounce key lime juice
½ ounce heavy cream
Graham cracker and lime wedge, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, vodka, key lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake to combine.
Strain into a martini glass and top with heavy cream. Stir to combine and garnish with lime and a graham cracker, if you desire.
Takeaway:
My martini didn’t turn out as green as the one in Disney Springs, but it was still a refreshing cocktail. It’s important to note that the lime juice can curdle your heavy cream, so you should always stir the cream into the cocktail rather than mix it in the shaker. This drink is pretty acidic, so I might add a dash more simple syrup and heavy cream if you don’t like a super lime-forward drink, but it does give off key lime pie vibes with the creamy, limey taste.
