Kidcot as a Disney Adult
Updated: Jan 19, 2022
The World Showcase is full of delicious food and drinks, cultural exhibits, newly updated attractions, and most importantly, KIDCOT. Now, I know what you’re thinking: Kidcot is for children. While that may be true, hear me out. Isn’t Disney World a place where guests are encouraged to embrace their inner child to feel the Disney magic?
For those of you who haven’t experienced this adventurous scavenger hunt, Kidcot was created for “little ones” to stop at each country and collect an activity card, stamp and sticker. The activity card is designed to have a coloring page, featuring classic Disney characters in the given country on one side and facts about the country’s traditions and culture on the other side. These Kidcot Fun Stops can be found in each of the 11 countries around the World Showcase. You may be wondering, how are you supposed to carry all of these cards and stickers? I’m glad you asked. Here was the selling point for me. Since Kidcot is sponsored by Ziploc, you receive a complimentary LUGGAGE baggie. It’s approximately the size of a Spirit-approved carry-on and perfectly holds all your Kidcot goodies.
So while “drinking around the world” is fun and popular amongst our age group, it is also tiring and expensive. Realistically, drinking 11 drinks in the Florida sun while walking 10 miles a day is not ideal. Now don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy a good Mexico marg but I don’t feel the need to get a drink in every country. This is where Kidcot steps in as the perfect alternative or addition. It encourages you to stop in each pavilion and you get a free souvenir. Oh yeah, did I mention that it is completely FREE? What more could I say to convince you to take on this exploration?
Exploring the World Showcase is one of my favorite ways to spend a day in Disney because there is always something new to see, learn, taste or experience. While the cards are intended for younger guests, you’re never too old to learn something new and get a cute sticker along the way.
