She’s trading her tail for a veil, celebrate the new Mrs. ‘Under the Sea.’
Bachelorette weekends MUST have a theme and while celebrating her “Last Splash” is a cute theme, adding a hint of The Little Mermaid takes it to the next level. Pull out the dinglehoppers and booze, and prepare to be ‘part of that world.’ Here are our tips for hosting a The Little Mermaid-themed bachelorette party.
Ocean Front
Before planning the big weekend, talk with the bridal party to find a budget that everyone is comfortable spending. While ideally, this theme works best at the beach, don’t be scared to use it anywhere the celebration is!
House Decor
Start the basics with “Last Splash” decorations to get a beachy, mermaid vibe going. Think purple, blue, pink, green, and iridescent. Incorporate these colors in balloons, streamers, photo walls, dishes, etc. Add jellyfish, starfish, and twinkly lights and you have the perfect backdrop. From here, add as many or as few The Little Mermaid decorations as you want! Try labeling food, utensils, and random objects as movie objects or buy Disney-branded paper products.
Mer-Mosa Bar
Because who doesn’t love a mimosa? Set up a mimosa bar with the bridal party’s favorite juices, champagne, and fruit. Hang up a Mermosa sign above, set out iridescent glasses, and let the bubbles pour!
Mermaid Vibes
While you’re strolling along down a — what’s that word again? -—street, match with your besties in your favorite mermaid-themed gear! Lots of Etsy shops offer personalized bridal party t-shirts that are The Little Mermaid- or general mermaid-themed. If your gang is more into bling, try these gorgeous mermaid sequin dresses and shirts! Don’t forget the mermaid accessories! Sand Bucket Cocktail
If you’re planning to drink like a fish add these to your lineup of drinks! All you need are some vibrant-colored sand pails, mermaid straws, your favorite liquor, seltzer, juice, and fruit!
