Infinity Stone Cocktail: Power Stone
Updated: Sep 18, 2022
Are you brave enough to try this powerfully good drink?
The Power Stone will give someone amazing, cosmic power like destroying entire planets for example. If you are an organic being though, you’ll probably disintegrate upon touching it so I wouldn’t risk it. Luckily we found a recipe from Whisky Sunshine to represent this powerful stone called the Avengers Orb Stone Cocktail. The cocktail features blueberry vodka, coconut rum, pomegranate juice and pineapple juice.
Power Stone Cocktail
Yields 1 cocktail
Ingredients:
1 ounce blueberry vodka
1 ounce coconut rum
2 ounces pomegranate juice*
2 ounces cran-pineapple or pineapple juice
Mint sprig (for garnish)
Blue food coloring (optional)
*optional, I recommend replacing with more cran-pineapple
Instructions:
1. Dip the rim of your glass in simple syrup and then into the sprinkles.
2. Combine blueberry vodka, coconut rum, pomegranate juice and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker with a few ice cubes and shake.
3. Add ½ teaspoon shimmer dust to the shaker and mix (or once poured add to glass and stir).
4. Pour drink over ice and garnish with mint.
Takeaway:
The recipe calls for sprinkles, simple syrup and mint but I didn’t use them and I still got the essence of the drink. I also found pineapple juice oddly difficult to find and substituted cran-pineapple, which worked very well. As far as the color goes, the first mixture looked like a light orange/brown color. The blueberry vodka I used was clear, not blue so this may be the reason for the discoloration. Adding food coloring to adjust the color got a little tricky, but with the right use of blue you may be able to pull off a dark purple color.
I was not a fan of the taste of the original mixture. Something about the pomegranate juice brought out too much of the coconut rum and left an unsettling aftertaste. I would suggest removing the pomegranate juice all together and replacing it with more of the cran-pineapple (or just pineapple) juice. With this change I discovered a light pink colored drink that was delicious, with only a hint of coconut. One drop of blue food coloring and boom, purple and powerfully good.
