Recipe: Sunshine Orange Chill
Updated: Sep 18, 2022
It’s quite literally a Taste of Florida in a glass.
The Coca-Cola Rooftop Beverage Bar didn’t mess around when it came to its Flavors of Florida offering. This one is its take on a screwdriver that comes in a complimentary souvenir glass.
Here’s how to make this orange delight at home.
Sunshine Orange Chill
Yields 2 drinks in martini glasses
Ingredients:
2 ounces vodka
4 ounces orange juice
2 ounces Sprite
Orange wedge to garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a cocktail shaker, add the vodka and orange juice.
Shake it thoroughly.
Pour into your glass.
Top it off with as much Sprite as you want (approximately 1-2 ounces).
Enjoy!
Takeaway:
This was honestly mid. It just tastes like a screwdriver and clearly, it leaned heavily on the Coca-Cola branding and souvenir glass rather than the recipe.
I enjoyed mine with a tad more Sprite (closer to 2 ounces), and we also used a more expensive vodka than usual (Kettle One), which made it really smooth.
This drink would be a good mimosa substitute for a brunch with the besties, but not something to go out of your way to make.
Also, all I could find was a HUGE orange to garnish. So forgive the funny-looking aesthetic of an orange slice that’s bigger than the glass. I tried.
