Recipe: The Love That Lasts a Lifetime Cocktail
Updated: Feb 14
A sweet cocktail to make this Valentine’s Day.
This Valentine’s Day, Lamplight Lounge is serving up a flight of delicious new cocktails. These cocktails are only available on February 14, 2024, at Lamplight Lounge, so if you didn’t get a chance to try them in person, here’s how you can make them at home! For this recipe, we’ll be focusing on the sweet cocktail from the flight: The Love That Lasts a Lifetime. It features Bacardi Raspberry Rum, St. George Raspberry Liqueur, orgeat syrup, raspberry purée, pineapple juice, and Sprite.
The Love That Lasts a Lifetime Cocktail
Yields 2 servings
Ingredients:
1 ½ ounces Bacardi raspberry or dragonberry rum
1 ½ ounces raspberry liqueur (St. George or Chambord)
1 ounce almond orgeat syrup
1 tablespoon raspberry purée
2 ounces pineapple juice
2 ounces Sprite
Ice
Instructions:
Add your rum, raspberry liqueur, almond orgeat syrup, raspberry purée, pineapple juice, and Sprite to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake to combine.
Fill a glass with ice and pour your mixture over top using the strainer on the cocktail shaker.
Enjoy!
Takeaway:
This is a great Valentine’s Day cocktail! It is pretty sweet and surprisingly tastes more like cherry than raspberry. It is not too strong and would be a perfect pairing with dinner or dessert. For the raspberry liqueur, you can use St. George Raspberry Liqueur like they do at Lamplight Lounge, or you can use Chambord, which is black raspberry-flavored, as a substitute. It was really difficult for me to find Bacardi raspberry rum, so I used their dragonberry flavor instead. The combination of this flavor rum and the Chambord kind of makes the drink taste like Cheerwine.
